I am immensely pleased to welcome you to the Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) — a temple of learning, innovation and research with a futuristic vision. The surroundings of NICHE, with its beautiful green campus, present a wonderful view of the Velly Hills, with the Kanyakumari Triveni Sangamam close by.

A nation that seeks to lead in the global ecosystem must be equipped with a highly educated and skilled workforce. Our vision is to improve standards, achieve excellence in higher education, and provide high-quality education at an affordable cost to students from different strata and regions of society.

Our curriculum is constantly being designed to respond to the challenges of the future workplace. NICHE and our Honourable Chancellor, Dr. A. P. Majeed Khan, aspire to make the University a world-class centre of excellence in training, research and innovation in cutting-edge technologies. This aspiration is reflected in the launch of NIUSAT, a nanosatellite developed by our faculty and students on 23 June 2017.

NICHE provides a friendly and inviting atmosphere where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and opinions. Our students are emerging leaders who will play a pivotal role in shaping tomorrow’s world and creating positive change and impact. Our dedicated teaching fraternity works to maximise each student’s potential and growth through the use of the latest technology.

I invite you to join the vibrant NICHE community, build healthy working relationships and explore this world of opportunities. Your life on campus as a student will be highly rewarding in terms of academic and extracurricular pursuits, supported by strong human values.

With best wishes,
