Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education launched NICHE AquaFloc, an advanced Indo–Japanese Water Purification Project jointly developed by the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Human Genetics & Biotechnology under the Indo–Asian Project. The project was inaugurated by K. S. Chandrasekhar, Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, in the presence of M. S. Faizal Khan, Chancellor, Shabnam Shafeeq, Pro-Chancellor, and Tessy Thomas, Vice-Chancellor, along with university officials, faculty members, researchers, and students.

The innovative technology is designed to enhance groundwater purification by efficiently removing impurities before water enters conventional filtration and reverse osmosis (RO) systems, thereby improving water quality, increasing filtration efficiency, and promoting sustainable water reuse. NICHE AquaFloc reflects the university’s strong commitment to research, innovation, international collaboration, and the development of sustainable technologies that address real-world environmental challenges.
